I already sent my written experience and explained the need and how to revise design for a better result. Maybe I can send a little sketch later to show an improvement to your good idea.
I have a deviated septum and they work. They have a soft and hard nasal dialator. I wish they made one that was soft and flexible where it connects on the nose but was harder on the wing part that pushes the nostrils out. When I say this I mean harder that what they sell as hard already.
I tried a bunch of different styles, but this one's the winner. Does it really work, though? My lady says my snoring's way better – sometimes she doesn't even hear me, and when she does, it's just like a baby snore. I've also noticed I'm waking up feeling more refreshed.Guess I can blame the dog for the occasional snore, but she's not getting any nose strips anytime soon... lol Seriously my dog snores lauder than I used to.Keep in mind that it will take a few nights for your tender nose to get use to since you are putting an adapter inside your nose and you may feel some discomfort. It is all in how you put it on and how much you move during the night.There is room for improvement as like colors and texture but so far this one is a keeper.

I have tried 3 different kinds of nasal dilators, the only ones that worked for me were these. On a rare occasion it will fall out during the night, but they work perfect and do not make my nose sore.

When sleeping on my right side, my nostril seems to close, but this opens the channel so I can breathe and sleep better. It says they are good for 10 or 15 uses, but honestly, I clean them and use them indefinitely. I just bought a new set for an upcoming high-altitude trek. I find these essential when acclimating to high altitude. I might even try them while hiking. A wonderful invention, if they work for you.
